Library space at the Cave Hill Campus is now at a premium. Student enrolment over the past three decades at the campus expanded course offerings and associated reading materials. Special collections, acquisition relative to the development of the Caribbean Region and other artefacts have rendered the space associated with the library.

The new library seeks to accommodate some of those needs and provides modern and relevant reading and study accommodation for students and staff in the fast growing technology age.
